ARROW BLOG

Bridport based stove manufactures Arada initially came to AztecMedia looking for a logo and flyer design for their Signature Inset range and following the success of this we were asked to create a new logo and brochure for their top of the range Aarrow wood and multifuel stoves. The design had to be product led with full page images and clear and concise information on accessories and heat output etc. Arada supplied us with the room set images and we did the rest! As would be expected with a product of this type it was important that the colours throughout the brochure were ‘warm’ in nature so we went for varying beiges with the hard contrasting deep Aarrow red which has become the brands corporate colour. It’s always good to work with new clients and Arada have been no exception. We have just completed the brochure of their Hamlet range and are starting two further brochures within the next week.

Tuscanor Lighting eBook

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

tuscanor blogTuscanor Lighting contacted AztecMedia about producing a lighting catalogue for them with the intention of getting it printed. With limited funds we recommended that they would be better of having a digital eBook which they could distribute world wide via an e-flyer promoting a URL link to view the digital eBook online. This saved them the expensive print and distribution costs, but allowed the end user to view quickly the products and print selected pages directly from the eBook. We also made the website address with the eBook a active link which when clicked took the user directly to www.tuscanorlighting.co.uk. The advantage of producing an eBook over print is the carbon foot print you save and the flexibility of being able to distribute it world wide at a touch of a button. Also when using the eBook you have the function to view the pages full screen on you computer, zoom in to view product and text information larger making it very user friendly. This eBook was produced using our Aztec Media Player software.

tool blogAfter the success of the ToolStream Summer eBook, AztecMedia have been asked to produce a winter version to cover October, November and December 2009. From the high resolution PDF files used to produce the printed version we created a digital eBook version for ToolStream to host inside their customer website. We used unique URL links from the product on the PDF file which when clicked links to the relevant product on the website. The customer then has the opportunity to add the products to their account and create an order from ToolStream. This eBook is powered by AztecMediaPlayer.

Skycam at Brypmton House

brympton blog

brympton blog2

Brympton D’Evercy House, on the outskirts of Yeovil, approached AztecMedia to use our Photographic Skycam to take elevated photographs of the Brympton House grounds.  These images will be used in the production of their new website,  which is also being designed by AztecMedia. The new owners of Brympton D’Evercy House are keen to promote the estate as the ideal venue for Weddings, Private functions, Corporate Events and training weekends, such as Interior Design and the Arts.  Having missed the summer months we found a break in the October weather to get a bright day with no wind to capture what is one of the most beautiful estates in the South West.

Brympton House is set within 33 acres of glorious parkland and lakes and has a history that can be traced back to the Domesday Book. The House was once at the centre of the medieval village of Brympton D’Evercy but today no traces of this remain.Brympton House was built between 1460 and 1680 and is approached by a long private drive.Nestling close to the main building is the Dower House which was built in 1350: a grouping that led Christopher Hussey – the architectural writer for Country Life – to describe Brympton as ‘the most beautiful house in England’.

In recent years Brympton House has been the setting for big budget films including ‘Chocolat’ with Johnny Depp and ‘Restoration’ with Hugh Grant. The BBC have just completed filming of ‘The Turn of the Screw’ at Brympton which is due to be televised on Boxing Day 2009.

Today Brympton House – which is family owned and run -hosts weddings and other events which are relaxed, informal and fun.”

Saucony Photo Shoot

BLOG SAUCONY

In an attempt to avoid the adverse weather we had for our last spring/summer Saucony photoshoot back in February (i.e snow!) AztecMedia decided that this time we would plan ahead as much as possible and actually get the shoot done in the summer – albeit the very end of it! Our venue was the newly completed Weymouth Sailing Academy at Portland which is to be the scene of the sailing events for the 2012 Olympic Games. Once again our photographer for the day was the brilliant Andy Whale and along with professional model Lisa Cooke and Saucony sponsored athlete Simon Jones the photoshoot was a great success. As you would expect (or hope) from the venue, the wind blew strongly most of the day with the sun making a welcome appearance from time-to-time – if only to briefly warm up the models who were patient and professional throughout. The results will be used in the 2010 apparel and footwear brochure to be printed just into the New Year and i’m sure the excellent work of all the team on the day is going to make for a great piece of work. As and when the finished artwork is ready to go we update the blog for you all to see.
