evolver blogAfter the success of the first digital eBook that we produced for Evolver Arts Magazine we are now producing each bi-monthly issue as a digital online version for those customers who do not get a chance to see the printed version when published. The user has the ability to flick through pages as if they were turning pages of the magazine, zoom in for closer detail,  pan around the page and print off selected articles. Aztec Media Player gives a new dimension in taking print to the internet and at the same time providing a unique viewing experience.

“Evolver magazine was set up in 2001 to support and promote the Arts in Wessex, and now covers an area that takes in Somerset and Dorset, Bristol and Bath, extending east to Salisbury and West Wiltshire, and west to Exeter and East Devon.”

Yeovil Fireworks Night Y.R.T

Yeovil Round Table and Westlands Complex held their first Bonfire Night Spectacular on Friday the 6th Novermber. Joined by Starwars Stormtroopers and Michael Jackson tribute, the night was a great success. With over 2,500 spectators and an amazing fireworks display along with a big fun fair, Yeovil Round Table and Westlands help raise money for local charities. Steve Carpenter from Midwest Radio played themed Star Wars music throughout the display and even dropped a couple of Michael Jackson hits. Photos and a video can been seen on our YRT222 website.

Yeovil Jets Basketball

THE JET’S LAND IN THE QUEDAM!
The Yeovil Jets Basketball Club (sponsored by AztcMedia) held their first Promotional Fundraising Event of their 2009/10 Season in the Quedam Shopping Centre on Saturday 29th August resulting in a resounding success. The aim of this event was to raise the clubs profile within the community, whilst attracting new players of all ages and abilities entering into the 2009/10 Season.
Children from as young as 3 yrs old took part in the ‘Hot Shots’ competition with the individuals owning the highest scores of the day winning club goodies (basketballs, t-shirts and backpacks). Shoppers were also invited to take part in the ‘Big Money Shot’ to win a cash prize for scoring just one shot.  Hundreds of people got involved though-out the day and took time to talk to members and players about this growing sport and the Re-Launch of the Yeovil Jets Basketball Club.

Yeovil Jets Chairman Jason Short said “The day was fantastic! We were thrilled to see the level of interest shown by the public in our club. Seeing men, women and especially the juniors getting involved on the day was just great.”

“A big thank you needs to go to our sponsors; the Quedam Shopping Centre for their continued support, whilst allowing us to have access in the centre and to Aztec Media for the promotional materials and future website currently being developed”

The Yeovil College based club start training on Wednesday the 9th September, with the first home game tipping off on Wednesday 16th September at 8.15pm, for which spectators are more than welcome!

Training seasons for all age groups takes place on Wednesdays at the following times;
Under 13     5.30pm
Under 17     6.30pm
Ladies          7.30pm
Men              8.30pm
