AztecMedia was recommended to New Farm Restaurant by one of their customers to photograph, design and print a new 6page DL promotional brochure for their restaurant in Over Stratton, Somerset. The brochure was key to selling the other services available from the family run business, including Bed and breakfast accomodation and outside catering services for corporate events and private parties.

“Here at New Farm Restaurant in South Somerset we serve modern British and international cuisine in a distinctive style all of our own.  The Menu changes monthly to reflect the changing seasons and to keep each visit a different experience.  We use local produce and suppliers from Somerset and the West Country almost exclusively. Not just a restaurant though; Jane provides outside catering services for private functions and corporate events and we have 4 star accommodation in the form of three tastefully furnished ensuite rooms.”

Brympton D’Evercy House, on the outskirts of Yeovil, approached AztecMedia to use our Photographic Skycam to take elevated photographs of the Brympton House grounds.  These images will be used in the production of their new website,  which is also being designed by AztecMedia. The new owners of Brympton D’Evercy House are keen to promote the estate as the ideal venue for Weddings, Private functions, Corporate Events and training weekends, such as Interior Design and the Arts.  Having missed the summer months we found a break in the October weather to get a bright day with no wind to capture what is one of the most beautiful estates in the South West.

Brympton House is set within 33 acres of glorious parkland and lakes and has a history that can be traced back to the Domesday Book. The House was once at the centre of the medieval village of Brympton D’Evercy but today no traces of this remain.Brympton House was built between 1460 and 1680 and is approached by a long private drive.Nestling close to the main building is the Dower House which was built in 1350: a grouping that led Christopher Hussey – the architectural writer for Country Life – to describe Brympton as ‘the most beautiful house in England’.

In recent years Brympton House has been the setting for big budget films including ‘Chocolat’ with Johnny Depp and ‘Restoration’ with Hugh Grant. The BBC have just completed filming of ‘The Turn of the Screw’ at Brympton which is due to be televised on Boxing Day 2009.

Today Brympton House – which is family owned and run -hosts weddings and other events which are relaxed, informal and fun.”

Saucony Photo Shoot

BLOG SAUCONY

In an attempt to avoid the adverse weather we had for our last spring/summer Saucony photoshoot back in February (i.e snow!) AztecMedia decided that this time we would plan ahead as much as possible and actually get the shoot done in the summer – albeit the very end of it! Our venue was the newly completed Weymouth Sailing Academy at Portland which is to be the scene of the sailing events for the 2012 Olympic Games. Once again our photographer for the day was the brilliant Andy Whale and along with professional model Lisa Cooke and Saucony sponsored athlete Simon Jones the photoshoot was a great success. As you would expect (or hope) from the venue, the wind blew strongly most of the day with the sun making a welcome appearance from time-to-time – if only to briefly warm up the models who were patient and professional throughout. The results will be used in the 2010 apparel and footwear brochure to be printed just into the New Year and i’m sure the excellent work of all the team on the day is going to make for a great piece of work. As and when the finished artwork is ready to go we update the blog for you all to see.

SAUCONY BLOG 1Original Picture                                                            Finished Ad Campaign

AztecMedia’s client Saucony, wanted to take one of the photos from the 2009 spring photo shoot we did at Lanes Hotel in West Coker and use it in a winter Ad campaign.  To keep up with the competitions P.O.S we decided to do something a little different with the New Saucony Visi-Pro Banners. Rather than using traditional laminated poster paper, the A0 banners were printed on a plastic mesh material. The great thing about this is that when they are hung in store windows they still let a certain amount of light in. Brilliant! The design itself uses a shot we took on the cold February photoshoot with the strapline “It’s the only thing to be seen in this season”. Hi Vis is no longer low tech…
